  • HR Update - New Overtime Regulations Coming

    On May 18th President Obama and Labor Secretary Perez announced the publication of the Department of Labor's final rule updating the overtime regulations, increasing the standard salary level from $455 to $913 per week ($47,476 annually for a full-year worker) and the highly compensated employee total annual compensation requirement from $100,000 to $134,004 per-year effective December 1, 2016.

    This seminar will review the key elements of FMLA, discuss how employers can maintain better control over intermittent leave, and discuss the interaction between FMLA, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and state workers compensation law. The rights of employers under FMLA - and what employers must do to retain those rights - will be stressed. This is an intermediate level seminar appropriate for those with a working knowledge of FMLA. It will be especially useful for those responsible for implementing FMLA in their workplace.
