The practice of law involves just that, practice.  Eastman & Smith believes students, both those in law school and those deciding whether or not to pursue a law career, gain valuable knowledge with exposure to law "in the real world." The profession gains as well as it benefits from new graduates who have practical experience.

Our summer associate program is a 12 week term giving law students opportunities to apply what they learned in the classroom as well as teach current attorneys regarding new issues and technology.  The program includes a social component where by they make valuable contacts through various firm sponsored activities and bar association events.  Interns spend several days to a week job shadowing attorneys and asking them questions about the practice of law.
