Overview

Non-profit and tax exempt organizations represent an important and central part of our community as they impact diverse health care, education, government, trade association, charitable, religious and leisure activities.

Our attorneys have a wealth of experience in formation, determination of exempt status, restructurings/combinations, finance, management and compliance with the diverse federal and state laws and regulations. In addition our attorneys regularly serve as volunteers, directors and officers of non-profits that provide service to the community. Our clients, past and present, include hospitals; churches; golf clubs; trade community associations; private and public charitable organizations and foundations that are operating and supporting organizations; state universities; community colleges; charter schools; and various state government and political subdivisions on a local and regional basis.
