The Toledo office has been the headquarters of Eastman & Smith since the Firm's founding in 1844. Occupying one floor in the distinctive blue glass building in the downtown skyline, One SeaGate, Eastman has a tradition of providing top notch services to business and individual clients needing assistance in an array of civil matters. Every practice group is represented in Toledo, including business law; business litigation; construction law; education; environmental; estate planning, trust and probate; fire, casualty and catastrophic claims; health care; immigration; labor & employment; professional liability; public law; real estate law; and tax.

The City itself is a mix of old and new, with employers in established industries such as automotive (Chrysler and GM), health care (ProMedica and Mercy Health Systems) and education (University of Toledo and Owens Community College), as well as new industries. A growing solar industry is located here with three separate solar companies headquartered in the area. Transportation businesses are thriving due to the well developed intermodal system in the region. Amenities include a nationally ranked zoo, library and art museum as well as a thriving park system and botanical park. The Maumee River and Lake Erie offer recreational opportunities for boaters, fishers and sunbathers. Restaurants abound as do shopping complexes.

Attorneys at Eastman & Smith are involved in the community with people participating in the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Leadership Toledo and many more. Pro bono work is encouraged as exemplified by the Firm accepting primary responsibility for the Toledo Bar Associations adult guardianship program.

Eastman & Smith is proud to be among the oldest companies in Toledo, and one of the oldest law firms in Ohio. We look forward to a third century of assisting clients in their endeavors.
