Workplace Safety: Limiting Employer Liability After An On-The-Job Injury

Join us Friday, May 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., for a seminar focused on providing employers with practical information to help reduce costs and effectively manage their workers' compensation programs. This seminar will include advanced discussions on the following topics centered around the theme of workplace safety:

What To Do After a Positive Post-Accident Drug Screen;
An Update on OSHA Enforcement and Initiatives; and
An Update on the Law Pertaining to VSSRs and Intentional Torts.

Also this year Dr. David Sohn, an orthopedic surgeon at UTMC, will be giving a presentation on "Femoroacetabular Impingement: A High Reward Diagnosis in Hip Preservation" as related to workplace hip injuries. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. Cost is $10 and a continental breakfast will be provided. To register, please contact Andrea Kenney by May 6 (events@eastmansmith.com or 419-247-1616).
