Eastman & Smith Welcomes Rita Sinha-Marsh as Registered Patent Attorney
We are pleased to announce that Rita K. Sinha-Marsh, formerly a mechanical engineering patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), has joined the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group as a registered patent attorney.

Nahhas, chair of the Eastman & Smith Executive Committee. “As part of our Firm’s overall growth and enhancement strategy, we continuously seek to add value for our clients, and Rita will help strengthen our patent prosecution and other IP support services for our IP clients in Ohio and across the nation.”
Ms. Sinha-Marsh most recently was a patent attorney at Sinha-Marsh Law Firm, which she founded. She prosecutes patent applications for a wide variety of industries, including consumer product inventions, and manages trademarks and copyrights for clients including start-ups and other small businesses nationwide. Her work also encompasses contract negotiation and dispute resolution. In addition, Ms. Sinha-Marsh is fluent in Japanese and has experience with patent infringement litigation and product liability litigation on behalf of Japanese automakers.
At her own law firm, Ms. Sinha-Marsh also was involved with pro-bono initiatives, including support and advocacy for domestic violence survivors, immigrant communities, and formerly incarcerated populations.
Ms. Sinha-Marsh received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University. She is admitted in New York and Florida, but not Ohio.
