5/4/12

Eastman & Smith Ltd. was recognized for its leadership in the handling of pro bono guardianships at the Toledo Bar Association's Pro Bono Advisory Council meeting on April 26, 2012. A number of Eastman & Smith people were recognized for their work, including attorneys Thomas J. Gibney, Marcus J. Brubaker, Colleen L. Diedrich, Heidi N. Hartman, Melissa A. Gerber, Scott A. Johnson, Joshua S. Peterson and paralegal Mary N. Schlatter. The work is done in conjunction with the Volunteer Guardianship Program and Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio. Together they establish legal guardians for indigent, incompetent older adults in Lucas County. This joint effort is designed to meet the needs of individuals 60 years of age and older who need assistance making decisions that affect their lives.
