Kemp and Roepke Join Findlay Office

Eastman & Smith Ltd. is pleased to welcome Thomas P. Kemp and Stephen A. Roepke as members based in its Findlay office. Kemp and Roepke most recently practiced with the Findlay law firm of Firmin, Sprague & Huffman Co., LPA.

Mr. Kemp will practice in the Firm's litigation section with a focus on commercial law and civil litigation. He received his undergraduate and legal education from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Kemp is a former member and chair of the Hancock County Board of Elections; he has served as a member of the Findlay Civil Service Commission since 2004 and served as chair from 2005-2006.

Mr. Kemp is an active community volunteer. He has served or now serves in leadership positions for a number of community organizations, including: the Hancock County Law Library Association, Findlay Noon Optimist Club, Children's Mentoring Connection, Children's Mentoring Foundation, Hancock County Democratic Party, the Knights of Columbus, and the Hancock Leadership Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Findlay-Hancock County Bar Association, the Northwestern Ohio Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association.

Mr. Roepke will practice in the Firms business section where his principal areas of focus will be organizations/corporate law, real estate development, corporate/real estate litigation and wealth preservation. Mr. Roepke is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and a law graduate of Duke University.

Mr. Roepke is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Findlay-Hancock County Bar Association where he currently serves as vice-chair of the Grievance Committee. Mr. Roepke is a former member of the Findlay City Council.
