Beyond Basics
The attorneys of the Labor & Employment Practice Group of Eastman & Smith Ltd. invite you to its annual spring workers' compensation seminar:Beyond Basics: Complex legal issues arising in claims, workers' compensation retaliation and the litigation process.This seminar will include advanced discussions on the following topics:
- identifying exceptions to claim compensability;
- retaliation - The do's and don'ts of terminating employees with active claims;
- considerations for when to appeal a claim into court; and
- how the litigation process works.The seminar also will feature a series of small group interactive workshops in which attendees will analyze real life scenarios with individual attorneys and discuss how to work through the scenarios to identify issues and enhance the prospect of favorable outcomes.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the seminar running from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Cost is $10. To register prior to the seminar, please contact Andrea Kenney by May 4, 2012, at events@eastmansmith.com or 419-247-1616.
