Ohio Capital Journal Quotes Scott Johnson on Next Steps for Legalized Marijuana

11/10/23

Scott A. Johnson, a member of Eastman & Smith's Cannabis and Hemp Industry group, was quoted in a November 9 article in the Ohio Capital Journal titled “Cannabis Advocates Remain Hopeful About Legalization as Ohio Republicans Look to Make Changes." The article covered a citizens initiative that Ohio voters approved on November 7 legalizing recreational marijuana usage by adults in the state.

Although the measure is slated to take effect in December, state lawmakers can amend or repeal it, and some have already discussed making changes.

“What you see may not be exactly what you get when all the dust settles once we see how the legislature reacts to this,” said Mr. Johnson.
