Nahhas Named One of 100 Leading Immigration Attorneys
Eastman & Smith is pleased to announce that Fadi V. Nahhas, member and chair of the Firm's Executive Committee, has been named to the 2023 Lawdragon 100 Leading Immigration Lawyers inaugural guide. Lawdragon editor Katrina Dewey wrote, "This remarkable group of elite advisors leads the way opening doors and borders for businesses and other organizations in their talent needs, as well as individuals in joining their family and seeking a new and better life." Dewey added that the guide was developed through Lawdragon's “decades-honed process that combines journalistic research, robust submissions and vetting by peers.” Mr. Nahhas is one of two Ohio attorneys appearing on the list. He is admitted to practice in Michigan as well.
In addition to his robust corporate and M&A practices, Mr. Nahhas built a successful immigration group practice from the ground up. For corporate entities, he
- provides strategies that best serve his clients' immigration needs in hiring foreign nationals on a permanent and temporary basis.
- assists clients in identifying immigration-related issues arising out of I-9 compliance, restructuring and corporate acquisitions.
- guides companies in securing temporary and permanent visas for their employees, including H-1B, H-3, TN, L-1A, L-1B, and B-1 temporary visas and employment based permanent visas for professionals, skilled workers, multinational executives, persons with extraordinary ability or advanced knowledge and outstanding researchers successfully navigating, where applicable, through the labor certification application process (PERM or special handling), as well as immigrant petitions and general adjustment of status applications.
Furthermore, Mr. Nahhas assists foreign nationals and their families to obtain and maintain legal status in the United States. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and speaks to various groups regarding business and immigration law issues.
