Modern Restaurant Management Magazine Publishes Article by Ashley B. Weis on Franchise Disclosure Document’s Key Sections for Annual Review
The article “Key Sections of a Franchise Disclosure Document: An Annual Review Guide for Franchisors,” authored by Eastman & Smith associate Ashley B. Weis, was published in Modern Restaurant Management Magazine on February 13. Ms. Weis explains, “Not only is [the Franchisor Disclosure Document (FDD)] a critical sales tool for the franchisor, but it also gives a prospective franchisee vital insight into the franchise opportunity and help them make an informed decision to invest.”
Ms. Weis discusses the importance of the annual FDD and encourages restaurant industry professionals and franchisors to pay special attention to specific sections:

- Item 12: Territory
