Eastman & Smith Elects New Members

Eastman & Smith Ltd. is pleased to announce that Heidi N. Hartman and Jeffrey M. Stopar have been elected members of the firm.

Ms. Eischen is a member in the Firm's Labor & Employment section. Ms. Eischen represents employers in all facets of employment law matters, including counseling clients on compliance with the ADA, FMLA, and other employment laws, defending discrimination and retaliation claims in federal and state courts, and representing clients in administrative proceedings before various agencies, including the EEOC, OCRC, the Ohio Unemployment Compensation Review Commission, and the Industrial Commission of Ohio. Ms. Eischen was selected for inclusion as one of the state's "Rising Stars" in Employment & Labor Practice in the 2007 Ohio Super Lawyers issue of Law & Politics magazine.

Mr. Stopar is a member in the Firm's Litigation section where he practices in the areas of professional liability, zoning and appellate litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stopar held a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Donald R. Ford of the Eleventh District Court of Appeals of Ohio. He is current chair of the Court of Appeals Committee of the Toledo Bar Association.
