Eastman & Smith Brings Shoes That Fit to Toledo
Eastman & Smith Ltd., is proud to announce that its women attorneys have established Toledo's first chapter of Shoes That Fit, a non-profit organization established to help build the self-esteem of schoolchildren in need by providing them with new shoes. The organization was established in 1992 to help children at one elementary school in Pomona, California. Since then, Shoes That Fit has grown to help more than 770 elementary schools in 31 states. Over 633,000 new pairs of shoes and clothing items have been delivered directly to schoolchildren in need. Eastman & Smith's shoe drive will benefit Sherman Elementary School. Over fifty students in kindergarten through the sixth grade will receive new shoes through this program. The students will receive their new shoes prior to their holiday break. Eastman & Smith Ltd. is a law firm of nearly eighty attorneys in Toledo, Columbus, Findlay, and Novi, Michigan, which has provided legal services to individuals and businesses since 1844. The women lawyers of Eastman & Smith meet monthly to discuss career development issues, network and connect with colleagues and clients, and promote diversity in the legal profession.
