Sponseller and Flynn Become Members of Eastman & Smith Ltd.
Eastman & Smith Ltd. is pleased to announce that Carrie L. Sponseller and Nicole A. Flynn are now members of the Firm. Ms. Sponseller has been an associate with Eastman & Smith since 2001, Ms. Flynn since 2006.
Ms. Sponseller is a member of the Firm's Labor and Employment Section and concentrates her practice in the areas of employment discrimination, workers' compensation and related litigation. She is a frequent lecturer on employment related issues and regularly advises employers regarding compliance with the law, enhancing human resource management and minimizing the risks of litigation. In 2010, Ms. Sponseller was certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Labor and Employment Law Specialist. Ms. Sponseller is a member of the Ohio, American and Toledo bar associations. She received her bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University, cum laude, in 1998, and graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2001, where she served as an editor of the University of Toledo Law Review. Ms. Sponseller works out of the Toledo office. She and her family live in Holland, Ohio.
Ms. Flynn is a member of the Firm's Labor and Employment Section. Her practice consists primarily of representing employers in labor disputes and collective bargaining and in employment discrimination matters before administrative agencies and federal and state courts. She regularly speaks at seminars and publishes articles on current trends and developments affecting Ohio and Michigan employers. She is licensed to practice in Michigan and Ohio, practices out of the Michigan and Ohio offices, and is a member of the Ohio, Michigan, American, and Toledo bar associations. Ms. Flynn obtained her juris doctor degree from The Ohio State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution editorial board. She received her bachelor of business administration from Western Michigan University, magna cum laude, in 1998. Ms. Flynn and her family reside in Perrysburg, Ohio.
