Former Eastman & Smith Attorney Elected Judge
In November, Jaiza N. Page, was elected to the Franklin County Common Pleas Court. Until her election, Ms. Page had been an associate with Eastman & Smith in our Environmental and Public Law practice groups as well as a member of the Columbus City Council.
Prior to joining Eastman & Smith, Ms. Page worked as an assistant city attorney for Columbus and was credited with handling over 800 nuisance property cases as part of the zone initiative. She litigated nuisance cases involving motels and hotels, apartments, liquor establishments, vacant and abandoned houses, solid and hazardous waste, sewers and salvage yards. Ms. Page also advised various city agencies, including Development, Building and Zoning Services, and Health, as it related to nuisance and environmental matters.
