Goldberg Raises Funds for AHA

4/1/21

Three months ago, Eastman & Smith member Stu Goldberg and his wife Jo-Jo Goldberg accepted their annual Ides of March Dinner and April Fools Dinner for the American Heart Association needed a pandemic transformation.  Thus, the Stu & Jo-Jo Goldberg 2021 Zoom Extravaganza for the AHA was born.

The Zoom platform allowed people to attend and entertainers to perform from locations across the country.  This year’s event included two short slide shows honoring the lives of David R. Goldberg and John J. Cerutti, in whose memory they raise funds, several musical acts and a mentalist.  So far over $19,000 has been raised from donors.  Mr. Goldberg frequently appears on the top fundraiser list for the American Heart Association of Northwest Ohio and received the Legacy of Achievement Award from the group in 2010.

The American Heart Association combats both heart disease and stroke, two illnesses which are top causes of death in the United States.  To learn more about AHA and its efforts, please visit AHA’s web site.

Mr. Goldberg concentrates his practice in the areas of product liability, fire, personal injury, commercial litigation, fraud investigations, insurance coverage and health care litigation.  His community involvement extends to many other organizations including Congregation B’nai Israel, Toledo Bar Association and United Way of Greater Toledo.

Update:  For additional information, please see the WTOL interview of Mr. Goldberg regarding this year’s event.
