Ebel and Huber Become Members of Firm

Eastman & Smith Ltd. is pleased to announce Melissa A. Ebel and Chad D. Huber have been elected members of Eastman & Smith.  Both were formerly associates with the Firm.

Ms. Ebel practices in the areas of labor, employment, workers' compensation and education law.  She has experience representing employers before administrative agencies and courts, regularly defending against claims involving federal and state discrimination laws.  Ms. Ebel represents both self-insured and state fund employers in workers’ compensation hearings before the Industrial Commission and subsequent appeals as well as advises employers on day-to-day employment decisions, personnel policies and handbooks.  Additionally, she advises clients regarding a variety of school law matters.

Mr. Huber focuses his practice on the areas of elder law, estate planning, estate administration, special needs planning, business organization and succession planning, and real estate.  One of his objectives for clients is to equip them with the necessary information to make the most informed decisions to fulfill their own unique planning objectives. As a native of Northwest Ohio, Mr. Huber is familiar with local financial institutions/advisors and accounting firms and collaborates with these entities to provide the best service to mutual clients.  He believes working together with these entities is in the best interests of his clients.
