Nooney to Receive Service Award
Firm member James F. Nooney has been honored by the Toledo Bar Association. He will receive the Robert A. Kelb Distinguished Service Award at the Bar's Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 14. The award is presented by the Board of Trustees of the Toledo Bar Association to a Bar member who has unselfishly served the Association and its members. Mr. Nooney has previously served as the Bar's president (1999-2000) and Chair of its Pro Bono Advisory Board and has been an active member of several other Bar Committees.
In addition to the Toledo Bar Association, Mr. Nooney has been active in the Ohio State Bar association. He has been, for many years, the prime Toledo member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, as well as a member of the Defense Research Institute and of the Ohio and Toledo Associations of Civil Trial Attorneys, having served as the inaugural President of the Toledo group. Mr. Nooney is a fellow of the Toledo and Ohio State Bar Foundations, and a Master and Past President of the Morrison Waite Inn of the American Inns of Court.
Mr. Nooney concentrates his practice in the defense of professional liability and products liability claims and in complex commercial litigation. Before joining the Firm in 1971, he served four years as a Staff Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force and, during the same period of time, was a part-time law clerk for Kent County, Delaware Superior Court Judge William J. Storey.
The Firm congratulates Mr. Nooney on the receipt of this award.
