Eastman Hosts BLSA

9/26/12

Eastman & Smith Ltd. recently hosted a reception for the Black Law Student Association in celebration of the beginning of the academic year. The event serves as a mixer between students and practicing attorneys, as well as a much needed break from law studies. Heidi N. Hartman is the Firm's liaison with BLSA. At an earlier event, Ms. Hartman encouraged law students to help increase diversity in Toledo's legal community by making their careers here.

BLSA's purpose is to help minority students in both their academic and social endeavors. The organization's current president is Jamar T. King. Mr. King is not only a third year law student, but also a law clerk with Eastman & Smith. Associate Joshua S. Peterson is a former president of BLSA.
