Louise A. Jackson joins Eastman & Smith Ltd.

Eastman & Smith is pleased to announce that Louise A. Jackson has been named as a member of the Firm. A native of Bowling Green, Ohio, Ms. Jackson has over 30 years of experience in the legal field. Her practice is focused in the areas of taxation, estate planning and employee benefits plans. She has represented clients in IRS and Ohio Department of Taxation proceedings, utilized complex estate planning techniques to meet client needs, created nonprofit organizations and crafted employee benefit plans. Her clientele includes individuals, small businesses, publicly traded companies, nonprofit organizations and governmental entities.


Ms. Jackson is admitted in all Ohio courts as well as the federal tax court, court of claims and district court (Ohio northern district). She holds a law degree from the University of Toledo, along with a MBA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a bachelor degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. In addition, she maintains an active license as a CPA and is AV rated in Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Jackson worked for an accounting firm.


An active member of the professional and civic communities, Ms. Jackson has been a member of, and served in a leadership role of, many organizations. These include the Ohio State and Toledo Bar Associations, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, Crime Stopper of Toledo, Black Swamp Conservancy and the Owens Community College Foundation. She formerly served on the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals.
