Nooney Named Distinguished Toledo Lawyer


James F. Nooney, a member of Eastman & Smith who practice in areas of business and professional liability, was honored with the Distinguished Toledo Lawyer award on Friday, May 3, at the Toledo Bar Association Law Day luncheon. This award has been presented annually, since 1986, to an attorney who is involved in the community, is known as a role model for other attorneys, has a notable reputation for his or her professional achievements and has at least 15 years of practice in the Toledo area. The awardee is selected by a committee of the board members of the Law Alumni Affiliate. Mr. Nooney is a member of the Perrysburg Rotary Club and was, for many years, a trustee of Abundant Life of Perrysburg, Inc. He has been president of the Toledo Bar Association and chair of its Pro Bono Advisory Board. Additionally, he served as the inaugural president of the Toledo Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, is a fellow of the Toledo and Ohio State Bar Foundations, and a master emeritus and past president of the Morrison Waite Inn of the American Inns of Court. The 2013 editions of The Best Lawyers in America and of Ohio Super Lawyers include Mr. Nooney. The Firm congratulates Mr. Nooney on this prestigious award.
