Eastman & Smith Remembers Jim Millon
The attorneys and staff of Eastman & Smith Ltd. are saddened to announce the passing of our friend and colleague, James W. ("Jim") Millon, who died Saturday, February 20, 2010. A member of the Firm's Business Section, Jim also chaired the Firm's Marketing Committee.
Jim was raised in Findlay, Ohio where he excelled in athletics. During his senior year at the University of Toledo,he served as student body president and president of Theta Chi fraternity.
Following graduation from the University of Toledo College of Law, Jim began his legal career as an assistant City Prosecutor in Maumee and then established a successful practice in Maumee. In 2005, he became a member of Eastman and Smith LTD.
Of his many accomplishments, Jim was most proud of his wife, Candy, and their children, Dayna, an elementary school teacher, and John Peter, a practicing attorney. Together they traveled to the bottom of oceans and to the tops of the highest mountains. Jim lived life to the fullest.
Jim was a long-time member and past president of the Toledo Country Club. He was a founding member of the Toledo Golf Hall of Fame and helped found the Order of the Elves, a charity that includes over 100 members and has raised more than one hundred thousand dollars on behalf of foster children.
Jim was a skilled lawyer and a great friend. His contributions to our community and to his profession were many and he will be missed by all of us.
