After graduating with a degree in Theatre, Mr. Cavanaugh was employed by an auto company for trade show and public relations events.  He obtained a legal assistant certificate during that time and was thereafter hired by a manufacturing company as a legal assistant.  Mr. Cavanaugh continued his education at the University of Toledo where he earned his law degree.

Mr. Cavanaugh and his wife Leah reside in Sylvania with their son Will.  He also has three grown children and three grandchildren who live in Toledo.  Mr. Cavanaugh enjoys spending his free time with Scouts BSA, where he is the committee chair to his son’s Boy Scout Troop.
