Integrity. Charisma. Intelligence. These three qualities drive Anna L. Schroeder’s legal practice.
Ms. Schroeder, an associate with Eastman & Smith, is part of our Health Care, Business Law, and Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Practice Groups. She has experience working with clients on a wide range of corporate matters, such as entity formation, mergers, acquisitions, privacy measures and drafting contracts of all types. In her health care practice, Ms. Schroeder frequently engages in the corporate, transactional and regulatory needs of clients and is familiar with compliance issues including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other federal and state laws. She also has experience in personal estate planning including the drafting of wills, living wills and powers of attorney.
During law school, Ms. Schroeder was an articles editor on the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and earned an award for excellence through her work in a mediation clinic. She was a legal intern at the USDA’s Office of the General Counsel, working specifically with the International Affairs, Food Assistance, and Farm and Rural Programs Division, and she also interned with a local hospital where she assisted in resolving patient complaints and training medical staff. Additionally, Ms. Schroeder worked as a law clerk for the Firm.
Ms. Schroeder is a Bluffton, Ohio, native and currently resides with her husband in Columbus Grove, Ohio. She serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Franklin County and advocates for children that have been abused or neglected. Ms. Schroeder also volunteers for her church as a religious education teacher and member of the parish council. She enjoys running and has participated in the Glass City Marathon.
