Eastman & Smith Brings 180 Years of Ohio Legal Excellence to Cleveland with New Downtown Office
Cleveland, Ohio (May 5, 2026) – Eastman & Smith has expanded its Ohio footprint with the opening of a new office in downtown Cleveland. This marks the Firm’s fifth office overall and fourth in the state, joining its existing offices in Toledo, Columbus, and Findlay, Ohio, as well as an office in Detroit, Michigan.
The Firm’s new office space is located in the Western Reserve Building in Cleveland’s Historic Warehouse District, a vibrant and growing commercial area. Eastman & Smith members Elizabeth L. Bolduc and Jeffrey D. Snavely, along with associate Daniel S. Dubow, will be based in Cleveland, bringing their labor and employment and corporate law practices to the region. Their presence enhances the firm’s ability to support key Northeast Ohio industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare – industries that are central to the region’s economy, and that are navigating increasingly complex labor, regulatory, and business challenges. Cleveland’s position as a major port city and commercial hub makes it a strategic location for serving clients with regional and national operations.
“We are pleased to continue to strengthen our presence in Ohio, now with offices in three of the top five largest metropolitan areas in the state, enhancing our ability to support clients across the region,” said David W. Carter, Chair of Eastman & Smith’s Executive Committee. “Establishing an office in Cleveland aligns with our growth plan and provides a platform to serve clients with operations and business interests in Northeast Ohio and across the region. We are seeing increased demand from clients in this market, and a physical presence allows us to be more accessible and responsive to their needs.”
The opening of Eastman & Smith’s Cleveland office reflects the firm’s continued focus on strategic growth and client service across Ohio and the Midwest. As Cleveland experiences ongoing transformation driven by downtown investment, infrastructure improvements, and continued growth in advanced manufacturing, healthcare systems, and distribution networks, the firm is well-positioned to assist clients with workforce expansion, regulatory compliance, and business development. The Cleveland office enhances the Firm’s ability to provide timely, on-the-ground counsel while strengthening its connectivity to clients operating across the region’s key commercial corridors.
The Cleveland office opening is the latest in a series of strategic investments by the Firm. Eastman & smith recently announced the arrival of two attorneys in its Columbus office, further strengthening its litigation capabilities - reflecting the Firm’s sustained commitment to growth aligned with client needs across Ohio and the Midwest.
