Employment Law Seminar - Columbus

Safety and Civility in the Workplace

Quest Conference Center 8405 Pulsar Place Columbus, OH 43240
4/18/18
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Registration is complimentary and begins at 8:30 a.m. Continental breakfast included.

The #MeToo movement, the tragic reality of gun violence and mass shootings, and the erosion of civil discourse online and in the media, have presented new challenges for business owners.  Our attorneys will discuss the changing climate, an employer’s legal obligations, and why it is now time to revisit current practices and training programs related to safety and civility at work.

The Columbus seminar will include advanced discussions on:

  1. Sexual Harassment Complaints and the #METOO Movement—the new environment and practical solutions to prevent harassment and respond to complaints.
  2. Ensuring Employee Safety—OSHA requirements and how to prevent and respond to workplace violence.
  3. The Opioid Epidemic at Work— an update on the epidemic and addiction and managing opioids in relation to workers’ compensation claims.

HRCI credit has been requested.
