Profile

Luke P. Barcy’s legal career began before law school.

It started by way of a summer internship with a US senator while Mr. Barcy was in college. After graduating college, he worked at a nonprofit supporting veterans and helped coordinate assistance for veterans needing job placement, housing and VA benefits. Mr. Barcy then spent several years as a paralegal for a global nonprofit organization, working with a small team of in-house counsel.

During law school at The Ohio State University, Mr. Barcy reviewed contracts for OSU and clerked for both Eastman & Smith and another law firm.  He currently serves clients as an associate in the Business Litigation, Real Estate Law, Aggregates and Industrial Minerals, and Environmental practice groups.

While at OSU, Mr. Barcy was president of The Public Interest Law Foundation and served The Ohio State Technology Law Journal as staff editor and source editor.  He authored a series of articles for OSTLJ’s blog pertaining to legal issues with artificial intelligence.  His undergraduate degree in history included studying for a semester in Dublin, Ireland.

Outside of work, Luke enjoys playing pick-up basketball, is a guitar enthusiast and watches classic films.
