Eastman & Smith's Stuart Goldberg Receives Toledo Junior Bar Association's Order of the Heel Award
Eastman & Smith is happy to announce that partner Stu J. Goldberg is the 2026 recipient of the Toledo Junior Bar Association's Order of the Heel Award, one of the Toledo legal community's most respected honors.
Presented annually in conjunction with the Toledo Junior Bar Association's Gridiron Show, the Order of the Heel recognizes a senior member of the bar who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to mentoring and supporting young lawyers through the selfless contribution of time, talent and leadership.
The award's purpose reflects Mr. Goldberg's dedication to developing the next generation of legal professionals. As fellow Eastman & Smith attorney Jared J. Lefevre noted, “the Order of the Heel is awarded to a senior member of the bar who has given most unselfishly of his or her time, talents and energies to assist young lawyers, a description that aptly reflects Stu's impact on the Toledo legal community.”
"Whether it's a worthy cause in town or helping young lawyers, Stu doesn't give until it hurts, he truly gives until it feels good," said fellow Eastman & Smith attorney D. Casey Talbott. "This is a really prestigious honor, but to us, it should come as no surprise."
Throughout his distinguished legal career, Mr. Goldberg has earned the respect of clients, colleagues, judges and members of the bar through his service to the legal profession and the Northwest Ohio community. Mr. Goldberg serves chair of the United Way of Greater Toledo board of directors, was president of the Toledo Bar Association and is a fervent fundraiser for the American Heart Association. A seasoned litigator, Mr. Goldberg has represented parties in over 400 cases in both state and federal courts. These cases include product liability, personal injury and commercial litigation for clients in a wide range of industries.
