Harden Receives Heroism Award


For his efforts in saving a staff member's life, Gary M. Harden was given the National Boy Scouts of America's Heroism Award. Earlier, Mr. Harden also was awarded the American Red Cross Certificate of Merit and the Good Samaritan award from NW Ohio Safety Council. Mr. Harden is an Eagle Scout and at the time of the incident was a scoutmaster for one of the local Boy Scout troops. In addition he is general counsel to and board member of Erie Shores Council (BSA) as well as a member of other area organizations such as the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Harden is a transactional tax lawyer, responsible for structuring M&A, finance, joint ventures and executive benefits transactions, and represents clients before the IRS and courts in tax controversies. The Firm congratulates Mr. Harden on this award and encourages the learning of life saving skills such as CPR. First aid and CPR classes are available at various locations. Several organizations who offer courses are the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross.
