The Labor & Employment Practice Group of Eastman & Smith Ltd. invites you to a comprehensive Family and Medical Leave Act training session. The presenters will cover the nuts and bolts of the FMLA and provide guidance on the most nuanced and complicated issues associated with administering an effective and legally compliant FMLA program.
Thomas A. Dixon, Lynn V. Luther and Carrie L. Urrutia will conduct a small group training session on how to administer the FMLA, including review of:
- Coverage and eligibility issues
- Qualifying reasons for FMLA
- Employer notice obligations
- Designating and tracking FMLA leave
- Managing intermittent leaves
- Seeking recertification and addressing suspected abuse of FMLA leave
- Intersection of FMLA with ADA and workers’ compensation
