Associate Attorney – Real Estate and Business
Eastman & Smith, a well-established firm recognized for its long-standing stability and forward-looking vision, is seeking an experienced real estate and business attorney with approximately four years of practice experience to join our Toledo office.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in managing complex commercial real estate transactions and be confident overseeing matters from inception through closing with minimal supervision. A background in general business and corporate law is also highly valued.
Successful candidates should have the following:
- Licensed to practice law in Ohio and/or Michigan.
- Strong sense of service to our clients and colleagues.
- Strong legal research background and training.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and related real estate contracts.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.

Our growing labor and employment practice group is looking for employment law attorneys with varied experience and skill levels to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities will include: counseling clients on practical and effective business practices; defending clients against claims filed in courts and administrative agencies involving harassment, discrimination, wage and hour disputes, safety, workers’ compensation, trade secret/non-compete issues and related matters; and representing clients in private and public sector collective bargaining. Candidates with related experience are encouraged to apply. Litigation experience preferred.
