“Litigation is one outcome when not everyone will play ball.”  Sarah V. Beaubien, an associate with Eastman & Smith, understands this well.

During her career, Ms. Beaubien has handled a number of civil litigation matters including: bad faith litigation, product liability claims, employer intentional tort claims, personal injury defense, premises liability, professional liability and general liability.  She has worked with transportation companies, pharmacies, manufacturers and insurers to ensure that if everyone was not playing ball, they were at least in the same ballpark.

As a former sportswriter, Ms. Beaubien gained an appreciation for well worded, concise and understandable communication.  She continues this practice in her legal career both with clients and colleagues.

While in law school, Ms. Beaubien was the symposium editor of the University of Toledo Law Review.  She graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law and has been in private practice since passing the bar examination in 2011.

Like law, softball is one of Ms. Beaubien’s passions.  She was an Academic All-American and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics softball player and has coached several high school softball teams.  She and her husband, Matthew, enjoy the Toledo Museum of Art, attending sporting events and kayaking on the lakes.  They reside in Temperance, Michigan.

Ms. Beaubien has trial experience in Ohio, Michigan and federal courts. She assisted in the defense of a local trucking company in a wrongful death claim, which resulted in a defense verdict in favor of her client. She also has extensive experience obtaining results for her clients through dispositive motions, actions which often saved clients time and expense.
